Our demo/participation game for a local Hobby show is in 4 weeks so we dcided to set up what we could at my place.

Some of the buildings aren't completed (most are being made out of cork tiles & card) , some of the roads haven't arrived (latex) so we used brown paper and above all, the rivers need to have brown/blue transperancies cut out & placed in the grooves (there's a few in place). There's various bits and pieces missing or needing finishing.

All in all, we're pleased, though.

Figure wise, I hadn't placed my French Line Corps or the Guard & we also have a Russian corps due to enter on Day 2 of the show. It clearly isn't the Battle of Leipzig exactly but the terrain, the balance of forces & the game plan all match as well as we could.

A stunnig scene, you must have a big house to just set ip up at your place.
Must be a hit on this local hobby show.
Have fun on this show, dont forget to make pictures of this battelfield in action and the rest on the show.
My compliments in this one!

It's a double garage: most Aussie homes have them & it's where we normally game. I have a small study inside the house , where I paint, store my figures & books.
And Paul, thanks for the kind comment on my wall. It wends up the front of the house for another 30 metres, getting higher.

I will post more photos from the hobby show, including close-ups of figures. It's been a 3 man effort & I believe (apart from a Warhammer game) we're the only wargaming stand. So we'll cetainly be the best historical wargamers there! Nearly all the rest is model railways. While these aren't my cup of tea, I must say they look fabulous & I have much admiration for the train exhibits.

Absolutely stupendous set-up good sir. Feel sure it's gonna be a huge hit at the show and as Paul mentioned it'd be very nice to see close ups of your troops and indeed the terrain itself.
A huge congratulations to you and your two partners ! A truly magnificent battleground!!!

The Show starts this Friday.

We have our "official" photographer (one of our group's wives: she's an Ace with a camra).
I'll post here ASAP after I get the photos.

The Show's done & dusted.
Quite a small affair by English standards: about 1500 people came. Wargaming is a relatively tiny hobby in Australia & not many knew what it was before seeing our efforts.

I think we created quite an impact.

Here's a few teasers" before I post more.
